“My work is centred on the abstract nature of identity, memories, environment and placement. I use a range of mediums to create emotive colour and text. The artworks made show several different dimensions crisscrossing on perpendicular planes. More abstract in the mind set of change and changing. Thoughts, memories, emotions, fluctuating influences of space and surroundings play a big part. My works currently take on a more urban twist, reminiscent of my time growing up around Margate. The use of text and graffiti make an appearance. I use a lot of multimedia to get to the final pieces: painting, photography, digital manipulation and print. These then transgress through a change of construction, deconstruction, and construction again. Reworking and tweaking works in a cycle ultimately following through to the next works. Ever evolving.”
