After popular demand, the new Greta Gerwig classic is back at 101 Social, for our friend’s Gloria pre-birthday party! (This is not a private event. Please, feel free to join us!)
A movie that somehow took a simple plastic doll, and told us a story with it that made us laugh and cry, and span so many different takes on feminism and the history of being a woman that it made our head spin! All packaged in a bright pink toy box of suprisingly gentle and introspective material. Starring the fantastic Margot Robbie as Barbie (you know Barbie), and Ryan Gosling as Ken (you might not know Ken).
Review: “Fresh score. It really is more than a movie, it’s a love letter to the women of the world regardless of their shape, size, or color. In our own ways, we are all our own ideal Barbie.” —Rua Fay, Cinemasters
