7 pm – late

Sounds like a showcase only your mother would attend is a showcase for the ongoing D.I.Y weirdo label, Sounds like something only a mother could love. Formed in 2010 by William and Kit, the label has harnessed music’s questioning powers, for better and for worse. This showcase highlights a few key ideas presented by the crew over the years, with The Faversham Motorway Intersection Enthusiasts Club offering some of their latest findings before they’re released into the world.

The Faversham Motorway Intersection Enthusiasts Club
Post-Kraut Pre-Jazz rhythm music, ongoing conversations between bass guitar and drum kit.

The Brothers Bula
Contemporary jazz re-works and jazz new-works, sax questioning with percussion answering.

CRANK WANK
Stark vocal acrobatics performed by an unprepared self-taught vocal acrobat.

Shastik Cret Menagerie
When the ensemble shit hits the proverbial fan.

Mystery Guest
Kent’s best kept secret.

Doors open at 6 pm, show starts at 7 pm. £5-3 OTD, no one turned away for lack of funds.
