An evening of ambience, noise, and cathartic drone to mark the height of mid-Spring. Join a select lineup of local artists as they deliver boudary-pushing sets in an intimate setting, this Saturday, 26th April.
Featuring:
AMBIENT / MINIMAL
Carkeet is a Margate-based sound artist and composer whose work spans film scores, sound installations and a rich catalogue of solo and collaborative releases. Exploring the interplay between sonic instruments and acoustic space, his music evokes minimalist forms within glistening pools of reverb. His performances are quietly powerful, and utterly beautiful.
– Civizen
DRONE / ELECTRONIC
Civizen is the project of Jacob Bane, an accomplished musician whose work spans a broad spectrum of genres and styles. Under this alias, they explore the sonic horizons of a range of hardware and software synthesisers, crafting deep, brooding cinematic textures and sonic environments. A master of the style.
POST-NOISE / POST-AMBIENT
The Colour of Madness is the latest project from Jacob Brant, an experimental musician based in Cliftonville. This performance fuses analogue synthesis, experimental guitar work and visceral performance poetry. Wear a helmet.
GENERATIVE NOISE / EXPERIMENTAL
Slattery is a stalwart of the experimental scene in deepest, darkest Kent. His work is rooted in improvisation and often generative in nature. Eschewing rules and virtuosity, Slattery embraces the raw immediacy of spontaneous sound. This is true experimental music – unpredictable, unpolished and alive.
Doors open at 5 pm, music starts at 8pm.
